Creating New Community or Meetup Pages

  1. Go to http://floridacreatives.com/node/add/meetup
  2. Fill in a title for this community. If the meetup is regional, please say so (e.g. Refresh Miami)
  3. Provide a link for the meetup's home page
  4. Provide a brief description of the community purpose, or mission statement
  5. Upload an image - otherwise, a default image is used. Please upload an image that includes people at a meetup. Logos are not encouraged.
  6. Add the meetup to the wiki hierarchy. Under the "Book Outline" fieldgroup, choose "Florida" as your book, and the appropriate parent page. For example, "Orlando Networking" or "Brevard Networking", for Orlando or Brevard County, respectively.
  7. FIll in a location name, address and zip code for your regular meeting place
  8. Fill in a founding date or the date of your first event
  9. FIll in a text description of your regular meeting time, e.g. "6PM on Third Mondays"
  10. Choose the normal day of the week for your meetup, e.g. Wednesday or Sunday
  11. Choose a related group on the site - perhaps a regional group and one or more interest-based groups, like "Gainesville" and "Poetry"
  12. Preview your page and review the data before hitting Save
