BarCampOrlando is back and is going to be bigger and better than ever. The Orlando Scene has quickly proven it can put on one of the premier BarCamp events in the US, and quite possibly the world.

BarCampOrlando is a 1 day 'unconference' offering all attendees the opportunity to share their knowledge by giving short talks on ANY subject. This year we will have 3 different rooms to showcase the participants and sessions of different lengths to accommodate more content then you can shake your marshmallow stick at.

BarCamp by it's nature has no schedule, no keynote speaker, and no main topic of conversation - the participants decide the who, what, how, why and when - we just pick the where!

Please register for the event so we can plan accordingly!

P.S. BarCamp may still be looking for sponsors - any amount will be accepted. We have a "fill in the blank" sponsorship available for those who can't swing $100 or $300, as much as they might like to.
I'm about to put on the publisher's hat and need to get going on a matching iphone app for our books. If you have iphone app skills, a willingness to take a share of sales as payment, and the ability to tell me what I need to do as a book publisher to get this thing integrated with our POD system, let's talk. I'd very much like to keep this project within the Orlando community.

We are located in Orlando, travel is not necessary. Preferred experience with the following:
I helped start up the Brevard chapter of Florida Creatives and have recently had the pleasure to meet Amanda Pegues. I've been very impressed as I've dealt with and spoke to tons of recruiters in the past, many of whom seemed clueless when it came to technical positions, especially those in the web development and design field.
Very small startup publishing company wants to add an iPhone app to its book offers. Small problem: no Mac, no experience, no money. I'm looking for someone who can build the app and will accept a small percent of sales in return. Or possibly just some advice. Let's talk and see what happens.

I am distributing software that teaches typing on www.nimblefingers.com. I need someone to develop a program for elementary-high school users.
The web site currently attracts thousands of users daily, so we have the marketing solved.
Take a look at my current programs. They are too sophisticated. Would you like to try you hand at software development? Visual Basic should probably be used.
Contact me at ppmears@cfl.rr.com and let's discuss.
