We have had quite a few new registrations on the site recently, and therefore I'm sure a lot of confused folks -- there is a lot that can be done on this website, but it doesn't all jump out at a new user.
How can we communicate the following:
- What is Florida Creatives all about?
- What can you find on this site?
- What can you find on other sites around the internet?
- How can you contribute to this site, and why would you want to?
- When is the next event, not just for our group, but all the groups listed here.
- What kind of work are our members doing?
- ...your own special intentions? What are you looking to get out of a site like this?
Once we know what we need to communicate and how, then we can talk about pulling it together with some design elements, which will be part 2 of this discussion.

How about a resources page? We can share various websites we read such as PSDTUTS.com, Smashingmagazine.com etc.. It could be useful for others who want to learn different things. We can share our resources as long as it is well organized, I think it would be very useful.
Thanks for the suggestion Chris.
Maybe that's the sort of project for a new wiki collection, or the kinds of things that could be added to the "Guides" collection of the wiki.

Ryan,
I think you may have answered your own question there: a wiki page that answers questions, similar to the ones you've presented, as they arise from the community, which on some sites is called an FAQ page. Perhaps we could poll the audience for questions to ask... You've already made a start...
