It's not a user group, it's not an unconference, it's not a geek dinner, it's not a meetup or a networking event. Yet, people who enjoy these types of events will find a home at our table.
The best way I can tie all these folks together is with the string of Innovation - that magic pixie dust that inspires us when we see it in others, rewards us when we achieve it ourselves, and pat our peers on the back when they can do it without bragging.
Indeed, whether they be engineers, entrepreneurs, artists, actors, writers, or anyone else, the spark of invention brings us all to the marketplace, and has kept us coming back for over 2 years.
For those keeping tabs, we've also got a Florida Creatives on the Space Coast as well, and we have a consistent group getting together to grow a circle in Brevard County as well. Congrats to Mike, Alex, Gil, Karen and the rest of the crew for growing the support in Brevard!
This should be advertised at
This should be advertised at least one week in advance, for those of us that have plans so that we can move them around to attend the meeting.

RBD,
I have to apologize for this week's hiccup - normally I get the post out at least 10 days in advance. I can say that every single 3rd Monday of the month, without fail, we will have a Happy Hour in Orlando.
I actually won't even be there tonight - this will only be the second event I've missed out of the 33 meetups.

Lol! The one time I finally motivate to show up... And not a soul in sight!
I wanted to go, but
I wanted to go, but previously laid plans got in the way. I think we could coordinate by sending a tweet @flcreatives and following @flcreatives on Twitter; that way we can get up-to-the minute updates.

Ditto! I totally showed up.... No one was there. The bartender actually said it was next week.

Found Ryan's posts and announcement of this meetup after last month's. We have guests staying with us from oversees this week. Sure hope summer doesn't take it down, and that it will be on next month. On my calendar now.
I was not able to make it
I was not able to make it this month, I am out of town. I got a text from someone who was there, and then a few people commented here, so there must have been more folks there.
Summer months are also weird, as lots of people travel. Some of the biggest meetups we have had are during January through April.
Please don't use last night as a representation - I know Karie and Rodney have been to meetups with a very large attendance.

Definitely lots of friendly
Definitely lots of friendly creatives attended last meeting. I think this is a great way to meet established and new creatives in the Orlando area.
I especially like that the Crooked Bayou is only one block away from CoLab Orlando http://www.colaborlando.com and quite a few folks from there dropped by at the last meeting.
Yeah, funny story - we
Yeah, funny story - we decided to do the event downtown, because that's the place with the most potential, and then almost 2 years later, CoLab officially opened.

And now I will submit a humble request to see if anyone wants to be my official "poke Ryan in the butt" person if I you don't see a new event. Also, I believe everyone should be able to see the "Clone" tab at the top of this page. By clicking this button, you can make an exact copy of any event and just change the date to easily create a repeat event.
