I'm seeking work in the writing and editing industry. I have seven years of editorial experience with a proven track record of maintaining timeliness and adaptability. In my roles, I have written and edited a variety of materials—teacher user guides, student textbooks, web courses, health insurance-related marketing materials, literary magazines, alternative weeklies, college newspapers and an entertainment web zine—all while maintaining a specific style and adhering my work to the intended audience.
Do you know how important it is to write a well defined character outline?
As a fiction writer you have to breathe life into your characters. Remember that they are alive, they are breathing, real people. It is your job as a writer to give birth to these characters. Remember this, they never existed until you created them. That is what makes them real.
If you have questions about writing fiction you can reach me at baerspeak@aol.com. Jay
The first panel was posted today for the graphic novel version of Calling Home, a Twitter/Plurk story that ran in the last months of 2008. Posts will be regularly done on Mon, Wed, and Fri.

I love Social Media. I’m on at least five different services and spend way more time than I should on them, but I enjoy it considerably and have befriended many great people. With as much enjoyment as I get out of these services I thought it would be great if could combine together two things I feel passionately about: Social Media and Writing Fiction.

I have to step up on my platform, and call all of my Orlando pals to hear my speech regarding our "City Beautiful".
The Brevard East Coast Creatives is a mashup of all sorts of creative, design, and code types of people whose business is working with businesses to help them communicate and brand themselves on the web or in print.
We welcome liberal hippies and young conservatives alike. We welcome geeky code monkeys as well as artsy graphic designers. We welcome suit-and-tie marketing experts as well as hip trendy brand identity creators. We welcome firms, employees of companies, and freelancers alike.
If you are community-minded and want to share ideas, experiences, meet the people working all around you in Brevard, then come hang out. No pressure. No forced presentations. No need to talk at all. Just listen. Or monopolize the conversation. We're small and really don't care either way.

Here I am again. Unmotivated, unsuccessful, unpublished, undesirable, uneducated, unmarketable, unemployed me.
I applied for at least 50 jobs online today. The only phone calls I got back were from the phone company who had to change my service for me because I can't afford frivolous things like Caller ID, some credit card collection agencies and my mother.
