You have stumbled on our little corner of the Internet - we have a so much time, so little to do - strike that, reverse it. Stick with us, and we'll make the future an awesome place to hang out. Learn more about Florida Creatives
Local artist and curator Anna McCambridge joined us at the Maitland Art Center to discuss her most recent show, a joint show by 4 local artists, titled "A Confluence". Anna is the curator of the Visual Fringe, and helps to organize First Thursdays at the Orlando Museum of Art, as well as curating and supporting art all over Central Florida.
If you don't know about the Visual Fringe portion of the Orlando International Fringe Theatre festival, you should.
Artists, check it out and submit some pieces.
Everyone else, go to the festival for some shows, but leave yourself some time before and after shows to walk the halls and experience (or buy) all the great local art.
Tens of thousands of passionate art fans will be walking the halls of the Orlando Shakes and the REP for 2 weeks in May, and they have art covering every inch of every wall.
Check out http://orlandofringe.org/visual for submission dates and more info. Totally worth your time.
