In March of 2010, after eight years as a community bookstore in downtown Orlando and Thornton Park, the Urban Think! Bookstore closed its doors, leaving as its legacy the Urban Think! Foundation. The Foundation believes that when creativity flourishes, the community benefits, and through its mission to enrich Orlando's cultural landscape the Foundation is working to re-think the bookstore space as a creative center serving the Orlando community. Please join us in helping shape the future of the former bookstore by filling out this short survey to assess how this new space might serve you.

Program Director - Mills 50 Main Street (Downtown Orlando)

Mills 50 Mainstreet is one of Orlando’s inaugural Main Street Programs focusing on the commercial revitalization of the East Colonial Drive and Mills Avenue corridor. Our purpose is to foster this wonderfully diverse neighborhood by stimulating business, creating a walkable community and promoting our creative culture.

We’re considering candidates for a Program Director, our key organizer and leader whose responsibilities include planning and developing programs, assisting volunteers, soliciting membership, and serving as primary liaison to government entities, community organizations and the Mills 50 board of directors.

To be considered, qualified candidates must possess the following:

In 2008, Chris Jones put together a charity project which collects unused computers, installs free software, and trains a needy family or organization in the care and use. Caring Compy will soon have non-profit status, and we couldn't be more proud of our Florida Creatives membership.
