A Photo Walk is when a group of people get together to walk around together taking pictures. This photo walk is being created specifically for those that LOVE Instagram, a popular iPhone app for taking and sharing photos.

Phlier's Insagram Photo Walk will start at a location (TBD) in downtown Orlando and end in the same location. When the walk is done, everyone is welcome to hangout and get to know each other. The starting and ending place will be somewhere that we all can relax, have something to eat/drink.

Calling all technology fans and professionals—Tech Thursday is here for you!

Join us as we kick off our first Tech Thursday with a special tribute to Steve Jobs. We’ll be gathering to recognize and honor the legacy of one America’s most valuable inventors and entrepreneurs in our time. On the agenda is a short film showcasing his life and contributions. We’ll wrap up with sharing our personal stories of how Steve Jobs has changed our lives.

This monthly event will stimulate conversations and healthy exchanges about all things tech. Do you love the latest tech-driven gadgets and processes? Great, join us! Do you feel lost in the language of goobly-goop-speak. Perfect, we can help you navigate the goop.

iPhone ID swipe apliclication

We have been pitching the idea for a iPhone application to read the magnetic stripe on IDs and driver licence to sell to bars/pubs/restaurants/liquor stores. We have been obsessively researching the feasibility of the app and are ready to start the build.

Would anybody be interested in teaming up for development on a co-founding basis?

commandN is one of the premier video podcasts in the world, not to mention one of the longest-running. In a recent episode, they featured a short documentary about a Hackfest in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Held at a Coworking space in Halifax called The Hub, a group of designers, programmers and marketers gathered to create small applications for entertainment, social connections, and creativity. The apps are then sold on the iTunes store, with all benefits going to charity.

The segment, from commandN episode 214 is called "Spotlight", and it starts about 5 minutes in to the video:
