Florida Creatives Brevard

The Brevard East Coast Creatives is a mashup of all sorts of creative, design, and code types of people whose business is working with businesses to help them communicate and brand themselves on the web or in print. We welcome liberal hippies and young conservatives alike. We welcome geeky code monkeys as well as artsy graphic designers. We welcome suit-and-tie marketing experts as well as hip trendy brand identity creators. We welcome firms, employees of companies, and freelancers alike. If you are community-minded and want to share ideas, experiences, meet the people working all around you in Brevard, then come hang out. No pressure. No forced presentations. No need to talk at all. Just listen. Or monopolize the conversation. We're small and really don't care either way. Get out of the house, the apartment, or the cubicle and come learn something new, share something crazy going on with a client, or meet someone who might be able to lend a helping hand (although probably not). Note to those invited to join: When you join, by clicking the "register" link on the upper right, you'll want to be sure to check the Brevard box in the Groups section of the registration signup. By default, everyone who joins Florida Creatives is a member of the overall state-wide group, but you have to manually select the individual sub-group(s) that you are interested in joining (such as our Brevard group here). All the subgroups of Florida Creative can be viewed here or by clicking on "Local Groups" at the top of the navigation menu on the left. Invite some others: If you are the manager or owner of a company, consider inviting all your coworkers or employees. They may want to meet others around town, too.

Hi Everyone,

Okay I know I am a slacker and never make it to the meet and greet but I am just too busy! Are any of you looking for website design work? I need a partner ASAP. I work within the non-profit sector. I have two projects that I need help with, one is for Vocational Rehab the other is a new project that needs to have a bid and comp completed by this Friday for another non-profit. I have several ongoing maintanance sites to keep up with.. and new things arrive every day. If you are interested in a partnership to help me out, please let me know so we can get together and I will provide you with more information on the projects. Thanks!!! Terri

Community or Meetup:
Sep 24 2009 6:00a - 8:30p

We had some of the usual suspects at the last meeting (myself, Jim, Meredith, and Chris) and 2 new additions (Sherie and Steve). We had a good time talking over pizza (The Banker's Tavern place is under new ownership and lacked food).

This month I'd like to bring it back down to Melbourne since all 6 who showed up last month were from down this way. Jim was nice enough to scope out Squid Lips for us last night and it sounds like it'll be a good match. Squid Lips is located where Conchy Joe's used to be (where the Eau Gallie Causeway meets Pineapple Ave, on the mainland side of the river) and I hope to see you all there.

I have a photo in competition at Competico, and I could sure use the support of my friends. If you like my photo of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse at nightfall (with lightning), I hope that you will vote for it. http://bit.ly/3rHdXk

Thanks.
