The Brevard East Coast Creatives is a mashup of all sorts of creative, design, and code types of people whose business is working with businesses to help them communicate and brand themselves on the web or in print.
We welcome liberal hippies and young conservatives alike. We welcome geeky code monkeys as well as artsy graphic designers. We welcome suit-and-tie marketing experts as well as hip trendy brand identity creators. We welcome firms, employees of companies, and freelancers alike.
If you are community-minded and want to share ideas, experiences, meet the people working all around you in Brevard, then come hang out. No pressure. No forced presentations. No need to talk at all. Just listen. Or monopolize the conversation. We're small and really don't care either way.
Get out of the house, the apartment, or the cubicle and come learn something new, share something crazy going on with a client, or meet someone who might be able to lend a helping hand (although probably not).
Note to those invited to join: When you join, by clicking the "register" link on the upper right, you'll want to be sure to check the Brevard box in the Groups section of the registration signup. By default, everyone who joins Florida Creatives is a member of the overall state-wide group, but you have to manually select the individual sub-group(s) that you are interested in joining (such as our Brevard group here). All the subgroups of Florida Creative can be viewed here or by clicking on "Local Groups" at the top of the navigation menu on the left.
Invite some others: If you are the manager or owner of a company, consider inviting all your coworkers or employees. They may want to meet others around town, too.
It's that time again! Let's meet at Island Pasta this month, on Thursday June 24 at 7pm. See you there!
This month's meetup will be Thursday, May 27 at 6:30pm at Panera in Melbourne (Post Commons at the corner of Wickham and Post).
Come out and join us for a casual "nerd meetup" (according to Meredith) where we don't have any schedule presentations or topics. We tend to just sit around, eat, drink, and talk about all the stuff that our parents don't get.
Let's spread the word and have a great meetup!
I'm giving up control of Florida Creatives in Orlando. That's the short version of this announcement. If you have a short attention span, you've now skipped to the end and read the last page of the novel. I imagine this post will be a long one.
Hey everyone! We missed our meetup time last week, but let's try to meet in April anyway! We'll meet this Thursday, April 29th at 7pm in downtown Melbourne at Mainstreet Pub: http://www.mainstreetpub.cc/Welcome.html Hope to see you there!
