First Steering Committee Meeting
You are hereby invited to the first ever Florida Creatives Steering Committee meeting - this is not a Board of Directors, as there is nobody to direct. Participation is voluntary, and the agenda is flexible, but it's long past time for this group to achieve something closer to its full potential.
UPDATE: This first meeting will be a conference call on Tuesday evening, December 9th at ?6PM You are also welcome to be there in person. Email me for the location. The penciled in date is Monday the 8th at 6PM - the idea is to have it about 1 week before the regular Happy Hour, so we have some time to get things done and then check back in at our regularly scheduled conversation time with all our friends.
We will be meeting at my home. I'm going to bake some pizzas and buy some beers. I eat out enough, and we can discuss future meeting places while we conduct this first meeting.
I plan on plunking the microphones in the middle of the room and opening up a Skype call in case anyone can't be there in person. The username is PFAlliance. You might also be able to call 321-441-3964, or have me call your land line / mobile so I can conference everyone in on Skype.

Ryan do you have a date and time in mind?
I was thinking Monday or Tuesday the 8th or 9th in the early evening, maybe 6PM.

Just to recap, the call will be held on Skype, and the user hosting will be PFAlliance. You can also call 321-441-3964 from any land line or moble.

I'm honored you thought of me but I have a prior engagement that night. Plus, had you ever driven in a car with me, I'm not sure you'd want me steering anything near you.
Maybe I'll be able to listen in a bit - the prior engagement is really my wife's and I'll be home with children, but I can always tuck them to bed early if they do anything wrong... ha ha. Else I can just broadcast it real loud on the speakers and my kids will all know that I truly am a geek at heart. I'll just have to try and live it down later by besting them in a soccer match by throwing myself in front of a dead-on kick to save the goal... woo-hoo!
Plus, we haven't even had our first meetup yet over here and as much as you all are inspiration (please - no Chicago tunes!), we probably ought to figure out who's who around town before jumping into anything stateside. Still, I'm interested to know what all is discussed if anyone gets a chance to report on it later. But I will try to listen in on Skype and maybe even say "Hi" - else I think there's someway I can record it and listen to it later.
