FamiLAB "Halloween Hacking"

Oct 15 2011 1:00p - 4:00p

This is a “hang-out” style event that is open to the public. We will be hacking random stuff with a Halloween theme. This is an unstructured event – if you want to be sure you will have something to work on – bring it! Need some ideas, or help? Just email us at classes@familab.org.

Location

The topics and the presenters are diverse, but will appeal to anyone who has an interest in technology and the internet. This is an event for web designers, developers, marketers, copy writers, SEOs, sys admins and anyone who operates a business with a web presence to get together and share their knowledge.

The endearing quality of the unconference format is that you have options all day. If the presentation you choose isn’t what you were expecting, you can always jump over into another room and check out something else.

The schedule starts BLANK in the morning and is filled up by attendees that want to do a presentation. Presenters choose their room and time and everyone else scours the board to choose the path that they will take for the day.

Show and Tell, for adults! Show us a project you've been working on, your favorite book, your wallet, your new haircut, an abstract idea you think we should all know about, a love letter, a scarf, a new gadget, or tell a great story from another creative community. Let us get inside the story, or see behind the process, introduce us to something new and amazing.

This will be our fifth month of Show and Tell - we have had some really amazing presenters in the first few months, and I am optimistic about the possibilities for this event in the future.

Show and Tell was proud to be featured in the Orlando Sentinel's Calendar last month:
