Florida Creatives – Creating a Community of Innovation

Mashable, a social networking blog that was recently named among the 25 most popular blogs on the internet, recently gave some link love to local startup theInspirit. Their Talent Database, currently in private beta, is a tool for artists and creatives to list themselves along with examples of their work. Gabe from theInspirit is an active member of the local arts community - in addition to attending Florida Creatives Happy Hour, I've also run into him at the Fringe Festival and I'm sure I'll be noticing him around town a lot more now that we know each other. He's one of those people you just can't miss in a crowd - I think the guy is 6' 6" or taller.

Back to the press - what did Mashable have to say about the Talent Database?

Some good features it has includes a broad array of channels to peruse different genres of art, several profile tabs for artists to include their information, and premium content as resources for artists in their various fields.

They also took them to the net for not including some features, but they're still in private beta. I'm sure their full plan will be apparent when the time comes. I'm hoping to get Gabe and maybe some of his team on a podcast when they're ready to make some information public (I actually have more than one startup I'm hoping to debut here). I figure if a top 20 weblog can mention us down here in Florida, they are fair game.
